Initial version

Final version

1. Analysis: current limitations and needs

  • Icons too large → reduce and redesign interface

  • Colors not engaging → make it more colorful

  • Floating text elements → add borders or card effect

  • No icons for public/private → plan their inclusion

2. Benchmarking/UX Research

I reviewed many other solutions to broaden perspective, spot UI/UX trends (gradients, shadows, neumorphism, glassmorphism, neobrutalism…), and establish parameters to take into account.

3. Parameters identified

  • Colors or monochrome

  • Transparent overlays

  • Button relief and shadows

  • Round vs. rounded-square buttons

  • Bold vs. pastel colors

  • List or grid

  • Icon size & style

  • Spacing and sizing

  • Card elements and borders

  • Cards per row

  • Glassmorphism or not

  • FontAwesome vs. custom icons

  • Color palette

Additional concerns

  • Technical constraints

  • Consistency with other Divalto products

  • Accessibility

Even for a relatively small project, the large number of parameters highlights the designer’s challenge and the many choices needed to reach an optimal version.

4. Mockup iterations/AB Testing

Over 90 options were explored, ranging from designs close to the original to more innovative ones.

Main difficulty: making informed aesthetic choices. With so many possibilities, it was easy to get lost. I presented my work to UX teammates several times between iterations to gather feedback, narrow down options, and guide the direction.

A final version was chosen, pictured above.
